Reparar mecanismo de expulsion discos en unidad slot-in

Tenia un problema con la unidad de mi iMac G3 Slot Load. El problema consistia en que mi unidad le costaba mucho expulsar un cd, no lo expulsaba con la fuerza del primer dia.


Descubrí que el problema es que una polea que transmite el movimiento del motor al rodillo que arrastra o empuja el disco estaba deteriorada.


La solución pasó por ir a una tienda de neumatica/hidraulica y comprar una junta torica con las medidas que necesitaba. En este caso D63S2 o 63x2 mas coloquialmente hablando. 63 seria el diametro interior de la correa y el 2 el diametro de la sección.


Para medir la correa de transmision original podemos colocarla de manera que forme una circunferencia y medir el interior. PAra medir la sección tan solo tendremos que medir el grosor de la correa de transmision.

I had one problem with the drive of my iMac G3 Slot Load. The problem consisted that my drive can not eject the discs like the first day.


I discovered that the problem is that the transmission belt that pushed or pulled discs was in bad conditions.


The solution was to buy one "o-ring" in a neumatic/hidraulic shop with the correct size, in this case 63mm of internal diameter and 2 mm of section, and replace it.


To measure the original transmission belt, we can form a circle with it and measure the internal diameter. To measure the section we don't have any problem, only we need measure the thickness of the transmission belt.
