Reparar mecanismo de expulsion discos en unidad slot-in

Recommended Posts

Hola,

HOW TO FIX A SLOT LOAD DRIVE

Hello,

I had one problem with the drive of my iMac G3 Slot Load. The problem consisted that my drive can not eject the discs like the first day.

I discovered that the problem is that the transmission belt that pushed or pulled discs was in bad conditions.

The solution was to buy one "o-ring" in a neumatic/hidraulic shop with the correct size, in this case 63mm of internal diameter and 2 mm of section, and replace it.

To measure the original transmission belt, we can form a circle with it and measure the internal diameter. To measure the section we don't have any problem, only we need measure the thickness of the transmission belt.

I attached a picture to help you.
