http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=HWC-E1H9cdc&hd=1

Comentan algo sobre esto: What plugins will work with Final Cut Pro X?

FxFactory has been upgraded to work with FCPX already and the trial version can be downloaded from their website. All the plugins work in Motion 5, some of the plugins from FCP7 won't work in FCPX though.

Algunos plug-in's no funcionan en Final Cut X :(

http://pomfort.com/dslrlog2video/index.html

FxPlug Filter for CineStyle™ Material

The DSLRLog2Video FxPlug is a free Final Cut Pro plugin that transforms the "flat" gamma curve of material to a Rec.709 gamma curve.

It is intended to be used for material recorded in Technicolor's CineStyle™ image style for Canon DLSRs. The used lookup table (LUT) is derived from the LUT provided by Technicolor – it creates visually the same images and has 10bit precision.

Alex4d plug-in's

Alex4D Dimensions

Alex4D Dimensions is a Title Generator effect that mattes the edges of a project so the visible area has exactly the pixel dimensions you specify.

It helps you make videos with frame dimensions that aren’t available as standard in Final Cut Pro X.

Alex4D 4 Up

This effect is for making a clip appear as four copies at the same time, or showing it alongside three other clips at the same time in a ’4 up’ arrangement

Alex4D Widescreen Matte

Alex4D Widescreen Matte is a Title Generator effect that produces a matte that can cover all the clips in your project

Alex4D transition: Sound only

A few posts ago I described a keyboard sequence that prevented an edit automatically having audio crossfade applied. Some editors require the reverse – a quick way of applying an audio crossfade without applying any video transition.

Over at the Creative Cow Final Cut Pro X Techniques forum, Frank Stäudtner suggested that editors could make a transition in Motion 5 that did nothing, so that Final Cut Pro X would apply an audio crossfade (as it currently does by default) with no transition for the video clips.

For those that don’t have Motion 5, I’ve made the required template. I’ve added two options: the ability to have the crossfade happen before the video edit or after the edit.

Alex4D Text Box

Here’s my next Final Cut Pro X effect: a title generator of a resizable text box with various fill options.

Alex4D Mask 8 points

Here’s my first Final Cut Pro X effect: an improved version of the built-in Mask effect.

Esto comentó Red Giant: Final Cut X is Here

Apple has not yet contacted 3rd party plugin developers to let them know what the transition plan is for plugins in FCPX.

Y esto SUGARfx: Announcement: Final Cut X has been released

SUGARfx plugins are not yet available inside FCPX, however we are fully committed to embrace the FCP X architecture so that you continue to rely on the quality, ease of use and power of our product line. We are making sure that most of our plug-ins and the best features will be available in this new and exciting version of FCP.

Project X₂7 - an import translator for Final Cut Pro 7 - translates the brand new Final Cut Pro X Project XML (fcpxml) and converts it for import into Final Cut Pro 7. Your Final Cut Pro X Project becomes a Final Cut Pro 7 Sequence, in a new or existing project.

Project X₂7 (Project 10 to 7) allows you to take your Final Cut Pro X timeline (Project) to Final Cut Pro 7, Color, Adobe Premiere Pro (and then via dynamic link to After Effects) or other Final Cut Pro 7 XML workflow tools.

Via Final Cut Pro 7 you can also link to Soundtrack Pro (sadly Soundtrack Pro's project format has never been published), to Motion 4, or to OMF output for ProTools.

Already working is a Final Cut Pro X Project with:

· Titles at the start and end;

· a mixture of primary storyline and connected clips;

· a mix of active and inactive clips;

· large numbers of J and L cuts;

· to-do markers and regular markers;

· spot audio effects; and

· cross-dissolve transitions.

Requirements:

Final Cut Pro version 10.0.1 or later

OS X 10.7 “Lion” or 10.6 “Snow Leopard”

About going from Final Cut Pro 7 to Final Cut Pro X

Before you start sending emails asking why we didn't do the opposite, since that's what everyone really wants, let me explain. Back in my initial briefing for Final Cut Pro X, I asked about the transfer and got the distinct impression that someone was already working on it (perhaps even Apple, it was vague). We're a small software developer and can't run the risk of spending considerable development effort to discover that a better funded competitor will come out with a similar product and kill our sales. So we chose to focus on a tool that adds value with less risk of competition.

As many of you know I used to be a professional Avid editor, often working between Media Composer and After Effects before the cool kids were doing it. By 1999 I had grown tired of the tedious timeline rebuilding process and started to investigate with Harry Plate (my Dad) how we could make a solution to import Avid OMF files into Adobe After Effects.

Harry and I started working diligently on what became Automatic Duck in late 2000 and by NAB 2001 we had our first product. Before we knew it we were celebrating 10 years of enabling integrated workflows.

Over the years we've enjoyed improving the interchange between Avid, Final Cut Pro, After Effects, Pro Tools, Smoke, Quantel and other AAF and OMF-friendly apps. We have enjoyed helping users improve their workflows and finish their productions more easily, and we've even enjoyed working with users to fix the occasional challenging bug and odd misbehavior. Not to mention at every trade show we had a great time meeting our many users from around the world.

We are very proud of the company we created and the products we lovingly crafted. But after 10 1/2 years the time has come for us to embark on new challenges and begin a new chapter in our lives. To that end Automatic Duck has partnered with Adobe Systems and will be working towards some excellent technology integration. I have joined Adobe as a full-time employee and Harry will be focusing on the technology integration as well as supporting other Automatic Duck partners.

Because we are so busy with these new projects we cannot provide the same level of support for our plug-ins that we used to, therefore we can't in good conscience charge money for them. But we don't want our popular tools to go unused if they are still useful to people. Therefore we have decided to make them available at no charge. Enjoy!

Thank you for the memories, we'll see you around.

- Wes Plate & Harry Plate, co-founders of Automatic Duck

Por fin, pasito a pasito.

¿Algo más que necesiten los "profesionales"? ;)

¡No more fanboys! Gracias

¿Me estoy haciendo pajas mentales?

I´m missing the "export as quicktime reference" option in FCP X. Luckily Apple introduced the XML-export feature which gave me all data I needed to "reconstruct" a video-clip in a Read node. This (bash) shell script parses a fcpxml-file and generates nuke-files for every clip in the Final Cut Pro X sequence (project). Tested on Mac OS X 10.6.8.

Features

No files are copied. The Read Nodes point to the same files as in FCP X.

All in-/out-frames, sequence frame positions, clip durations stay intact

Handle frames can be added to extend the frame range.

Only video-files. No audio.

Different FPS and dimensions were recognized.

Cropping, Animations, Translations, Color Corrections, Effects and every other Final Cut related modification on a clip will be discarded!

The generated Nuke-files are named after their FCP X name with a following "_v01"

Usage A: with Terminal:

before first usage set the user permission: sudo chmod 755 /PATH/fcpxml_to_nuke.sh

export your Final Cut Pro X sequence as XML

drag the script to your Terminal first, then the XML and enter your desired frame handles number. Hit Enter.

wait…done

you may optionally trash the "fcpxml to nuke.workflow" file

Usage B: with right-click (Automator Services):

copy the "fcpxml to nuke" workflow file to /Users/username/Library/Services

export your Final Cut Pro X sequence as XML

right-click the XML-file and choose "fcpxml to nuke" from the contextual menu

wait…done

you may optionally trash the fcpxml_to_nuke.sh file

Update 1.1 changes:

added an Automator-workflow file for easy right-click usage

bugfix: when FCP-X Timeline starts with Timecode set to 00:00:00 the first clip was misplaced in time in Nuke.

bugfix: the script failed when an empty space was found in the filename.

notes: empty spaces in filenames will be replaced by a "_".

watch the Tutorial on vimeo

Thanks

A big THANKS to the Nuke-community for sharing knowledge, gizmos and scripts. I´m a silent forum-reader and Nukepedia-leecher. This is my tiny contribution and I hope this script helps someone.

HAVE FUN!

Template para trabajar con el HDR del firmware Magic Lantern en Final Cut X: Alex4D ML HDR Compose

Magic Lantern HDR Compose: Free Final Cut Pro X generator

This is an unpolished effect that I’m releasing early so that the few people who need it can give me some feedback.

Magic Lantern is a system for adding features to Canon DSLRs, Unified is a recent ML package enables some cameras to shoot footage that can processed to produce content with a larger exposure range – i.e. High Dynamic Range.

The files produced are made up of alternate frames of under- and overexposed footage. My new generators take these frames and give you the control to define how the overexposed frames are overlayed on top of the underexposed frames.

For more information on Unified and Magic Lantern and the software to for your Canon DSLR, visit the Wiki

Note that you must shoot footage at twice the framerate you need, as 25 fps footage results in 12.5 fps HDR footage. These generators don’t do any interpolation.
